Hiya!
Hurray! It’s the Easter holidays! So glad not to be in school for two whole weeks! We’ve just had our GCSE mocks in school. My grades were awful! Mum says I didn’t do enough revision, but I just find it all so boring.
My teacher suggested we make a revision timetable and do a little bit of work over the Easter holidays. I’m not going to tell Spud because he would laugh at me, but I’m secretly a bit worried about these exams. I think I might start doing a little bit of revision, maybe just a couple of hours in the morning just to give me a head start. I’ve found this website really helpful – there are even online tests to test your knowledge!
You might find this revision planner useful too – I usually put all my favourite TV programmes in first and use the rest of the blanks to fill in revision slots. That way you don’t miss out on your favourite things.
Spud has been a nightmare for the last couple of weeks. It was No Smoking Day at the beginning of the month so he has given up smoking. He has been doing really well so far but yesterday he was really moody! I’m not sure if that’s because of him not smoking or because he got detention two nights in a row for not finishing his coursework. If you want help or advice about giving up or know someone who does, Spud has found this website really useful.
There are loads of cool activities going on over the Easter holidays. I’m thinking of going to the activity day for young women in Rhyl Leisure Centre on 1st April. You can find out more about this here.
That’s lots of other activities going on for all ages in the Leisure Centres in Denbighshire. If you want more information you can contact them direct - just don’t forget to ask Mum or Dad or whoever looks after you if you can use the phone!
I’ve nearly finished that book I was telling you about last month. It is really good! I might go to the library Saturday morning and see what else they’ve got.
See you next month.
